Looking at Design

So I went to Flax just to buy some adhesive, and of course I ended up coming out with way more than that. I did find a good book with some good design, called "Type Design: Radical Innovations and Experimentation" Its a good book and I'm glad to add it to my small but growing library of design books.



In it I found some good and relevant designs by Martin Venezsky. He did some designs for the Sundance Film Festival and their guide that I think are great.

Not only that but I as tried to find these images from the book online, I ran into a couple of posters for fimls in the festivals, and noticed a bit of difference between them and the posters that hit the mainstream. It was interesting to see that most posters for independent films are more likely to be better, or more creative than the ones everyone gets to see, in my opinion.
